Establishing good rapport with the attendees of your teleseminar is extremely important if you are hoping they will buy any products or services from you. Building trust is hard to do the first time you get to speak with anyone, so follow these guidelines to optimize your chances.
Once you make finalize your teleseminar time and date, do not change it. If your attendees are planning for a teleseminar that is only 25 minutes, but you do not really pitch them your product until the 45 minute mark, you may lose sales due to the prior commitments of the attendees. It is not near as hard as you may think and you will make more sales in the process.
Any call services that may end up interrupting your call, like call waiting or instant messaging, should be turned off. With all of the beeping and other notifying sounds that come with call services, nobody will be able to stay focused, including you. Another bad thing that could happen is that an extra caller on your calling plan could send your first conversation off the line.
You can not worry about making a killing each time you host a teleseminar, but that you get better. If you get too pushy with your sale approach, your listeners will hear the desperation and tune you out altogether. Make sure that you leave a good opinion of yourself with your customers or they will leave you with a bad reputation and no sales.
Your teleseminar has to have a point with some momentum. The reason people called in and are listening to you is to find out more about how your product can help them, so do them the highest service by making a great case for their purchase of your product and representing yourself well in the process. Simply relax, and understand that many of your customers may end up being your friends once they use your products.
Your customers are waiting for you to be the niche expert they think you are, so do them a great turn and be that. Showing people that you are a reliable and trustworthy person is more work in the short term, but is definitely worth it in the long run.
